WHO Regional Office for South East Asia is organizing the above mentioned Regional Meeting on the Every Newborn Action Plan (ENAP) and Postnatal Care (PNC) for Mother and Newborn in Colombo, Sri Lanka from 11 until 13 November 2014.

Therefore, the above mentioned regional meeting is being organized to deliberate issues and enhance commitment on promoting and improving interventions for the newborn and mother in the days after child birth, in view of accelerating the decline in maternal and neonatal mortality and sustaining gains beyond 2015.
The specific objectives on the meeting are to review country commitment and progress on the Every Newborn Action Plan (ENAP) including successful experience and best practices for implementation of good quality and evidence based interventions and approaches.
